Vice Principal

As a product of Harlandale ISD schools, it is my pleasure to be vice-principal at such a great campus.  I have worked in the district for over seven years as a paraprofessional, teacher, and now an administrator.

I am a graduate of Baylor University where I earned my B.S. in psychology, and I am also a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio where I received my M. Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  I am a firm believer in on-going education. therefore I continue my own education so I can meet the needs of our growing and changing student body.

I am also the proud mother of a beautiful six year old who also attend sschool here in Harlandale ISD.  We are members of the community along with my parents who have lived on the Southside for over 65 years.

My vision is to establish a school that is inclusive of all students needs regardless of labels or mitigating factors. All children deserve the opportunity to learn and to be successful. Success at any level can change a person’s life, and once success is experienced the possibilities become limitless. It is therefore my responsibility to help all students tap into the vast knowledge that is available to them.

“Because parents entrust their children to the school, educators have a moral responsibility to protect and educate those children” (Matthews & Crowe, 2003).

Please feel free to contact me via email or phone (210) 989-2414 if you have any questions or student concerns.
